Who am I? The Invisible!

My name is Wilson. I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He lived on the earth, died for the sins of the world, was raised from the dead, and is now seated at the Right hand of God and will someday soon return to the earth.

I apologize if I have in some way offended you or wronged you. I pray that you would forgive me.

I am doing this because I feel led to do it by the Spirit of God. I’m making this declaration of who I am and what I believe because I have not done a good job in making that distinction in the past. Those that really know me, already know that this is who I am regardless of the past and past behaviors. We all have a past. Thank God for growth and change. Like most of us, I have done most things that I was big and bad enough to do. Those actions never led me to anything good.

I believe I must have that same boldness in the things of God just as I did in those things that were not of God. Namely the sin that I openly and secretly partook of.

I was hesitant to share this part of myself on a grand scale due to what others may think. However, I’ve concluded that it doesn’t matter what people think. The only opinion that matters to me is the opinion of the Most High and my wife. One day when I stand before him to give an account of my life, and he asks me what I have to show for his investment in me, I want to say I did what you asked me to do. I want to say that I have brought a return on your investment.

Over the past eighteen plus months, God has revealed some profound things to me by virtue of some experiences that I have had to walk and pray through. Also seeing people put their beliefs, their ideas, and ideologies out in the universe has really affected me because my perspective and awareness has shifted. People boldly post what they believe, what they think, or in most cases what others think, and they agree with. Some of these posts are good, but most of them I would categorize as anti-God, anti-Jesus, and usually against some person, groups, or political party etc. Which of course is the prerogative.

The thought and overwhelming impression that I am left with because of all that I see on social media and what’s happening in the world, is who are you and what do you stand for? This is who I am and what I stand for. I’m a believer, I’m a husband, I’m a father, I’m a business owner. I stand for and upon the unadulterated Word of the Living God. Full-Stop!!

The second thought is with respect to all the vitriol, hatred, killing, political climate, division, the Corona virus and all of the inhumane events taking place worldwide.

The time is coming and in some respects it’s already here, that there will be a clear distinction between those who are living for God and those who are not. The time of playing and not being 100% committed is over for me. Personally, in my own walk with God, I have been lukewarm in the past. The bible says in Revelation 3:15,16: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would rather that you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of my mouth. This metaphor or allegory was about me and I would dare to say most Christians.

This is me not being lukewarm.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, the basic premise of that belief is in something that you can not see with your eyes. He is an invisible God, who sends His invisible Spirit to live inside of your regenerated human spirit. You are a spirit that lives inside of a body of flesh and blood. This is unequivocally clear when the spirit leaves the body through death. As I stood over my father’s casket and other loved ones, there is no doubt that they are no longer there.

We are living in a time when there is a pandemic that we can not see floating in the air affecting the whole world. Many of us know someone that has either passed away, was sick with this virus, or hopefully recovered from the virus. Yet despite all the evidence that this virus exists, we have people who deny its existence and say that it’s a hoax concocted by the Government. It is also said that God, the devil, angels, and evil spirits don’t exist, but the reality is quite the opposite.

If you can believe in a virus that you cannot see, that has killed over 200K people in the U. S. Why is it so hard to believe in God whom you cannot see? Is it so far-fetched to believe that there is a nefarious, insidious, subtle invisible enemy pulling strings in the dark, whispering to people’s minds, influencing the powerful and everyday person just the same? Is it far-fetched to believe that same evil spirit wants to influence and dwell in people just like the Spirit of God?

If you are not a believer, I’m sure this sounds like foolishness to you, but if you are a believer, you know what I’m saying is not only true, but happening.

I’m sharing this to encourage you to change your focus. The bible says in Ephesians 6:10 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
All of these enemies are invisible, and they influence people on a daily.

So, if you’re fighting the fight based on what you can see believer, you are fighting a losing battle. Matter of fact, you’ve already lost.
So that boss that is constantly antagonizing you, treating you unfairly, or fired you, that family member you can’t get along with, or that friend who is manipulative and deceitful. They are not your enemy. They’re a distraction.

Whether it’s the police, Trump, Biden, or whoever the person may be. If you’re focused on them. You’re losing. It’s the spirits behind them influencing them. You know it’s something sinister because the same thing is happening all over the world. What is a young 17-year-old boy hearing that makes him drive over 30 minutes with an assault rifle to another city, and proceeds to kill two people and hurt another? No matter how it turns out, not one person would have died by that rifle had he not gone there with questionable intentions. We have all had a thought suggesting we do something we know we shouldn’t do. We must speak to the voices that are speaking to us. The Word of God is the weapon. At the end of it all, the Word of God is the final authority in the realm of the spirit and on earth. The person you see is just a puppet, knowingly or unknowingly.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal/temporary; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

This means that we focus our attention on the things of the Spirit which are eternal.

What are the things of the Spirit? It’s the Word of God.

John 6:63 says: The Words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The Word of God is what the world needs. However, the bible tells us that people will reject God himself. Yet he is merciful, faithful and not willing for people to perish.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that WHOSOEVER (That means anyone) believes on him shall NOT perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God is patient and loving and not willing that any should perish. Although hell is a very real place, the reality of separation from the presence of God is hell in and of itself. We must act today and choose God.
